Payment after air crash
\\p7c Pr/’.sx Associg! H'h ) HAMILTON. An out-of-court settlement for nearly $11,500 has been made by an American aircraft engine manufacturer in a claim for negligence after the crash of a light aircraft near Ohaupn earlier this year.

from Hamilton Airport on March 22. Four men were in the aircraft. They scrambled from the wreckage seconds .before it was enveloped in flames when its fuel tank exploded. The cause of the crash was basically a failure of the oil-pump driveshaft, according to the regional inspector of air accidents (Mr A. .J. Wylie, of Auckland).
