Permit for garage

Sir, —The City Engineer’s I reply to “Interested Citizen” isays this garage on Tuawera 'Terrace will be painted (green. My calculations suggest it will be 25 to 30ft above the ground at the highest point. Therefore I think sky blue more suitable. The City Engineer also says it will take tw r o cars off the street but allowing for the access to a double garage of say 20ft, this means one less parking space for the less fortunate for all time. Of course, there is no compulsion for the owners’ cars to be always in the garages so they could at times still be on the street, thus making three less spaces available. I also feel it should not be allowed.—Yours, etc., CONCERNED CITIZEN. November 24, 1975.
