Water-race damaged

A fresh in the Waimakariri River has again damaged the Paparua County Council’s water-race intake, just after it was repaired. “The concrete spillway has been undermined by the swirling river water. Repairs may be expensive,” the County Engineer (Mr J. D. Annan) told a meeting of the council’s stock water supply committee yesterday.
