westerlies with showers spreading north during tht day Buller, Westland: Moderate south-westerlies; showers at first but clearing during the day; cool. Canterbury: Cold south westerlies becoming gen eral, fresh or strong ar times during the day; unsettled, with periods of rain. Outlook: Fair.
