Conflicting reports
The Dutch Foreign Mnistry says it has been informed by an Iraqi envoy that the Dutch-bom Israeli, Alexander Haroun, reported to have been hanged in Baghdad as a spy, was still alive although under sentence of death. An Iraqi news agency reported the execution on Monday, saying Haroun was hanged after being tried by a revolutionary tribunal on charges of espionage for Israel. — The Hague.
