Hair-styles for life-styles
“Hair-styles for lifestyles” — that is the theme of a demonstration to be given in Christchurch next Tuesday evening by the two local members of Intercoiffure, Mrs Margaret Yates and Mr Bryon Jones.
Briefly, the styles are for sporting, poolside and business life, as well as for cocktail and evening wear, Margaret Yates said yesterday. And they are the very latest from Europe, with emphasis on curls or short, sculptured cuts. Members of Intercoiffure, a world-wide organisation with headquarters in Paris, are very carefully selected for their standards of work and they are kept up to date with the European scene. . “We are sent copies of i new styles by air mail as I soon as they were released,”
she said. t*This means we! can copy them within a! week of their launching on the Continent. We want the public to realise this and become aware of what Tntercoiffure represents. Too many New Zealand women tend to assume that our country is behind in fashion trends, but this is not so.” Intercoiffure members are able to give clients who will be travelling overseas the names and addresses of allied salons throughout the world. Hence tourists can make an appointment for a hairdo with confidence, almost anywhere. TOTAL LOOK
The new hair-styles to be shown on November 4 are part of the 1976 total look that combines clothes and cosmetics for every occasion for everyone. The fashion promoter,
Bobbi Menzies, will present at the function a parade of garments from new ranges in casual and formal wear to team with the hair-styles introduced by Mrs Yates and Mr Jones.
The evening of total look fashion for women and men will be held at the Autolodge Motor Inn, Papanui Road, in association with the St Albans branch of the National Party.
