Fire guts motel unit
Fire gutted the inside of a ; motel unit at the Riccarton i Park Motor Camp, on the' ' Main South Road, about 10 ,Ip.m. last evening. The flames, which deI strayed everything inside the small building, threatened a : nearby house and some sheds. Two engines, from Sockbum and Harewood, attended the blaze, and firemen, using ■ two hose reels, had it under control within 15 minutes of their arrival. The occupant of the unit was not in at the time.
