Hounsell in the lead
Alan Hounsell (Old Boys) is the leader in the Lion “Player of the Day” contest, after two rounds.
He has scored six points and is one ahead of Wayne Wilson (Lancaster Park). On four points are David Stead (Riccarton), Graham Pulley (East-Shirley), and Vic Pollard (East-Shirley). Yesterday, with only one match continued, all the points were scored by EastShirley players — three to Peter Coman, two to Carl Dickel, and one to Pulley. The points scorers on Saturday were.— Three: Hounsell, Alan Kerr (Riccarton), Geoffrey Smith (St Albans), and David Trist (BumsideWest). Two: Pollard, Wilson, David Bull (Old Boys), and Bill Aldridge (Sydenham). One: Dickel, Bruce Irving (Lancaster Park), Richard Pither (Old Collegians), and Kevin Collins (Bumside-West).
