The secretary of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, Mr Martin Joyce, said: “We are very glad to see Mrs Thatcher taking such a keen interest in interior decorating, but some of our members were very upset to hear her describing them as semi-skilled. “They would like to
meet ner and demonstrate just how much skill is necessary to carry out many of their routine tasks.” Mrs Thatcher was also invited to become an honorary member of the guild.
