The new comedy series Maude on TVI has Beatrice Arthur in the title role, a woman described as Archie Bunker’s liberal, middle-class cousin. The reliable Mary Tyler Moore Show (TVI) has Mary Tvler Moore Show (TVI)
being put out by the presence of a young consultant on improving television ratings. But TVl’s main fare is the first episode of the new series of The Onedin Line, Peter Gilmore and Michael Billington again take
major roles. Jonathan Lynn makes an appearance as a destitute doctor in the final Doctor In Charge programme on TV2 and on the same channel there is Ordeal a film about a man left to die by his wife and his colleague.
