Mrs Ada Wells (nee Pike)
Sir. — On October 21 at! the Town Hall an exposition,-: “Partnership in Progress,” isj to be opened. It will feature; outstanding women in the New Zealand community. The group with which I am associated has been assigned Mrs Wells, a former Christchurch citizen, who was very concerned with all aspects of women’s involvement in home and community, including politics. She assisted in the formation of, -and was the first secretary of the National: Council of Women; was one 1 of the first two women; members of the Charitable: Aid Board (now the North; Canterbury Hospital Board);: the first woman City coun-l cillor in Christchurch. She! founded a family massage! business in Christchurch. I and died in 1933. May we ask if anyone who knew Mrs Wells, or of any incidents, to do with her, would kindly get in touch with us by telephone or letter?
