Less wanted by Auckland
(NZ Pre** Association) AUCKLAND, October 6. The Loans Board has sanctioned the borrowing of $4,200,000 by the Auckland Regional Authority for capital works at the Auckland International Airport, but the A.R.A. has discovered that it needs only half of the money. , Initially, sanction was applied for with the intention of using the money on the new international terminal building, land purchase, extensions to the No. I cargo building, air freight forwarders, and customs agents’ building. A report received today by the airport committee revealed that, since the application. the A.R.A. has reviewed its financial programme for the next five years, and has found that it will probablv need only $2,500,000.
