Meeting on yartl noise
Cr Britnell of Che Paparua; County Council and council; staff will meet W. A. Hab-{ good and Company, cartage) contractors, to discuss noise 1 coming from the conipany’.sj yard at Middle Park Road. The council has also called; for a report on the alleged storage of dangerous chemi-i cals at the yard. The yard, zoned for industrial use, is surrounded by a residential A zone. Last evening, the council received a letter from Mr G. F. Henderson, a resident, complaining about the noise,; and saying that the company { {was storing “highly danglerous” chemicals next to the ■ street. f Cr E. C. Britnell said the {company was aware of the ' problem, and had tried to {find an alternative yard site. Building. — In September, 120 building permits, valued {at $1,036,674 were issued by ithe Paparua Countv Council, /compared with 104 permits, {worth $1,187,899 issued in j September, 1974.
