These positions are in the Forest Products Division of the Forest Research Institute and are suitable for boys or girls who are interested in a career in the wood science area. The range of scientific disciplines available to technicians working in this area include chemistry, chemical engin- ■ eering, physics, engineering and biology. ’ Minimum qualifications desired are lower sixth ' form certificate or equivalent. Preferred subjects t are chemistry, mathematics, physics and biology, s at least three of which have been passed at Form j VI level. These positions are in the laboratory, assisting scientists engaged on research in the fields of wood quality, wood formation, timber engineering, timber treatments, composite wood products, wood chemistry —(inorganic, organic and biochemical) pulp and paper, and biodeterioration of wood.
