$5000 for Tayler fund
(N Z Press Association) TIMARU A total of $5OOO has been raised in New Zealand for medical expenses incurred by the athlete, Richard Tayler. Of this amount about $l3OO has come in through the Richard Tayler Medical Expenses Appeal, organised by a Temuka chemist, Mr Max Harbrow. The balance came mainly from an appeal organised in Palmerston North. Mr Harbrow said yesterday that the $l3OO had come from donations handed to chemists throughout the country. He said money was still coming in although the appeal had now officially ended and he also knew of private donations from sports clubs and from overseas.
