New Govt Architect

A former . Christchurch man, Mr G. Miskimmin, has been appointed Government Architect by the State Services Commission, to succeed Mr F. I. Anderson. Mr Miskimmin, at present Assistant Government Architect, will take up his new : duties early next year. Mr Miskimmin helped plan :the University of Canterbury icampus at Ham when he was iin Christchurch in 1962. In Wellington, he has been I responsible for much of the (design work on the Beehive complex, the Government centre, and the new National Library building.
