To Cambridge
A Christchurch barrister and solicitor, Mr W. G. G. A. Young. has been awarded a University Grants Committee postgraduate scholarship, with overseas tenure, and a Tapp Fellowship at Cambridge University. Mr Young attended Christ’s College and graduated Bachelor of Laws with first-class honours from the University of Canterbury. He also won the Butterworth Prize, and was a senior scholar and tutor in equity. With Mr Gerald Nation, Mr Young won the Australasian Law Schools mooting championship m Perth in 1972 and| in Melbourne the next year.’ He was awarded the Canterbury District Law Society’s gold medal, and earlier this year was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court.
