Govt push for safe driving

GV.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. The Government plans an intensive promotion of defensive driving courses, the Minister of Transport ’(Sir Basil Arthur) has said. Sir Basil said today that ihe was convinced the ’courses would be one of the [most effective ways of reiducing deaths and injuries. The courses took only four two-hour sessions, yet provided simple, practical solutions to driving problems.

A defensive driving course was the best way to prepare for the summer holidays.
