J. W. Langdon suspended
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. At an Inquiry at Alexandra Park on Saturday night, which had been adjourned from the previous week, the Cambridge reinsman, J. W. Langdon, was suspended for three weeks, up to and including October 17. The inquiry related to the breaking of Lord Jodasc shortly after the start of the Franklin Free-for-all, Langdon, who drove Armbro Magic, was found guilty of careless driving. R. S. Fletcher was suspended up to and including October 10 after an inquiry into the Putiki Mobile Pace.
Fletcher, the driver of Tuatahl Star, was found to have pushed down on top of William the Second, which in turn caused Scottish Lustre to be checked. Seven trainers were fined $lO for failing to comply with a condition of the Auckland Trotting Club programme. The condition they failed to meet was to notify the club of the drivers of their respective horses in the T.A.B double races. The seven were: 1. M. Behrns, P. H. Parker. P. C Maeken. G. Cole, R. J. Weatherley, E. C. Hair, and P. G. Young.
