Purpose: To facilitate use of land for oxidation pond purposes. Maximum flow 180 litres per second. 2514— KAIAPOI TEXTILES, LTD, Kaiapoi Mill, Kaiapoi, to discharge 90 cu. metres of cooling water per day from the Dye House to the Cam River at Kaiapoi Mill upstream of Walker Street. This cooling water being clean water at temperature of up to 40 degrees Celsius drawn from underground sources and not contaminated with any process liquor. It is intended to recirculate and reuse for rinse processes, as much of the cooling water as is practicable. 2515— KAIAPOI TEXTILES, LTD, Kaiapoi Mill, Kaiapoi. Emergency sewer overflow, to discharge up to 180 cu. metres of sewage per day to the Cam River via Kaiapoi Borough emergency sewer overflow Cridland Street. LTD, Clarkville, to discharge aquatic herbicide into a tributary of Greigs drain (a sub tributary of the Kaiapoi River) running along north side of Waimakariri River stop bank east of the motorway, in sufficient quantity by means of slow release pellets to maintain a nominal concentration of herbicide at 005 parts ner million for 14 day period. Purpose: controlled experiment to evaluate aquatic weed control efficiency. 2517— SHELL OIL N.Z. LTD, Kalnga, to discharge aquatic herbicide into the headwaters of Kainga drain (a sub tributary of the Styx River) in the vicinity of Kainga Road rail crossing, In sufficient quantity by means of slow release pellets to maintain a nominal concentration of herbicide at 0.05 parts per million for 14 day period. Purpose: controlled experiment to evaluate aquatic weed control efficiency.
