Try walking on paper
We all know that wallpaper is used on floors and ceilings, but what about using it on the floor? It has been tried, and apparently it works. The bare floor should be perfectly clean, with all traces of wax or grease removed. Any cracks should be filled and a sander used. If it is still too uneven
sheets of hardboard should be laid for a smooth surface. The floor should then be coated with a mixture of size and polyfilla in the proportions given with instructions accompany ing pre-pasted wallpapers. As the wallpaper is applied a vacuum cleaner should be at hand to remove every trace of dust. Anything under the paper will show through and
cause boles if it is not removed. The wallpaper should be left to dry for about 24 hours and then coated with polyurethane — three coats with plenty of dry ing time allowed between coats. The choice of patterns Is practically unlimited of course, but white should be avoided as it will be discoloured by the polyurethane.
