Bans imposed
Two former leaders of the black South African Students’ Organisation have been served with restrictive, or “banning,” orders: Steven Carolus, who in April of this year was released from prison, where he had spent five months in detention in the terms of South Africa’s Terrorism Act; and Lindeliwe Mabandla, whose wife, Brigitte, is also banned.—Johannesburg.
