NORTH CANTERBURY TIMBER SALVAGE OPERATIONS Resulting from combined meetings with Federated Farmers, a forestry salvage operation has been instigated. This Committee suggests to all farmers that Radiate and Douglas Fir should not be logged unless absolutely necessary, or they should contact their local sawmiller or forestry officer for an inspection. Premature logging will render trees valueless. 1. Do you have trees across irrigation races, access ways or sheds that require logging immediately? Yes/Nfi 2. An accurate assessment of the number of trees that are millable and type of tree. 3. If logging has already been necessary, supply the number of logs on the form. fl.
