Uruguayans to train at Lincoln
Lincoln College is to hold a special two-month training course for eight Uruguayan agricultural officers at the end of this year. The college principal (Prof. J. D. Stewart) said yesterday that World Bank had asked the college to organise the course, which was sponsoring the Uruguayans, and would finance their training. The Uruguayans, field officers for their country’s World Bank-funded Plan Agropecuario, would be in New Zealand from November to January.
Prof. Stewart said that the course would be run by the Department of Farm Management and would involve lectures, seminars, workshops and field trips around the country.
