During the third year of operational service Cadets attend a second formal training course of tuition for completion of the Communications Officer qualification which is a prerequisite for advancement to supervisory positions.

SALARY: Commencing salary In accordance with educational qualifications related to the Public Service scale. Salary is supplemented by penal rates and shift allowances for work on weekends and at night. PROMOTION: There are good prospects for promotion on a competitive basis. BOND: Cadets will be bonded on entry to serve in the New Zealand Public Service for a period of 3 years from the date of completion of their initial training course in 1976.
