Trout fishing

Sir, — It seems time for all trout fishermen who threadline to unite and protect their fishing. The questionnaire issued by the Anglers’ Action Group is obviously keen not only to repeal our new privileges available in the new regulations, but to curtail trolling and ticer fishing which has been approved of for years. I am personally against boats and bait fishing, but the Anglers Action Group’s bigoted approach can only bring rifts and ruin to both the clubs and the society. I will not deal with any sports shop "which foists the Anglers Action Group questionnaire on people. They obviously must be an A.A.G. supporters “Fly-fishing only.” The present council brought in the new regulations as a result of studying scientific data and recommendations so they are entitled to a fair trial. All threadliners should support them. For the first time we are getting equality of opportunity for equal payment in our fishing. — Yours, etc..
