Public Notices CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL REVOCATION OF ROAD RESERVEMAJOR HORNBROOK ROAD AND RHYL PLACE PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 18 of the Reserves and Domains Act, 1953, it is hereby publicly notified that the Christchurch City Council at meetings held on August 19. 1974 and May 5, 1975, considered and approved resolutions consenting to the revocation of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto and to request the Honourable the Minister of Lands to revoke the reservation and declare the land available for disposal. SCHEDULE (1) MAJOR HORNBROOK RD AU that parcel of land situated in the City of Christchurch, containing Ir 9.4 p or thereabouts beI ing Lot 20 on Deposit i Plan 19704, part R.S. 24077 and being more commonly known as road reserve. This refers tc the • road reserve on the west side of Major Hornbrook Road approximately 160 m south of Bellview Terrace. (2) RHYL PLACE AU that parcel of land situated in the City of Christchurch containing a total sum of 854 square metres being Lot 4 on Deposit Plan 11057 and Lot 2 on Deposit Plan 16013 and being more commonly known as road reserve. This refers to the road reserve adjoining Aorangi School and being 40m north and parallel to the extension of Rhyl Place. A plan is available for inspection at the Housing and Property Division of the Department of City Administration, 194 Manchester Street, and any person having any objection to the proposed revocation must lodge the same in writing with the undersigned not later than 4.30 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 1975. IF YOU CAN HELP PLEASE PHONE 488-974. 2314 ASHLEY COUNTY COUNCIL RURAL HOUSING LOAN, 1975 — $30,000 NOTICE OF PROPOSED SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at an Ordinary Meeting of the Ashley County Council, held at the Amberley Bowling Club, Amberley, on August 7, 1975, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held at the Amberley Bowling Club, Amberley, at 9.15 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 1975. RESOLUTION

That In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and all amendments thereto and all other acts and powers enabling it In that behalf, and by virtue of and In accordance with the conditions of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board, granted at a meeting of the Board held on June 24, 1975, the Council resolves to borrow from the Housing Corporation of New Zealand the sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) by a loan to be known as the Rural Housing Loan, 1975, for the purpos of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act, 1939. subject to the following conditions: 1. The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed 30 years; 2. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or so much thereof as is for the time being raised and not repaid, shall be four and three-quarters per cent per annum payable half-yearly, the first such payment to be made not later than six months after the date of the payment of the first instalment of the loan by the Corporation to the said Council, such interest* to be computed on the daily debtor balances in the accounts of the Corporation; 3. The Council shall pay to the Corporation each halfyear in reduction of the principal moneys advanced by the Corporation to the Council an amount equal to the sum of all the amounts of principal which are expressed to be payable to the Council during that half-year under the agreements entered into by the said Council with the various farmers to whom the said Council has advanced any of the loan moneys, together with any additional principal which may be paid by such farmers; 4. No amount payable by the Council in respect of principal or interest owing to the Corporation shall be paid out of loan moneys; 5. No amount shall be payable for brokerage, underwriting or placement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof It is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken If 5 per cent of the ratepayers of the Ashley County so demand by xvriting under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution. NOTE: The repayment of the above loan is not intended to be a charge on County Rates but will be secured by first mortgage over the properties on which advances are made. A full copy of the Special Order on this matter is deposited at the Council Office, Baicairn. and is open for public inspection until September 3, 1975. DATED this 12th day of August, 1975. A.
