PUBLIC NOTICE ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL WIND DAMAGE, AUGUST 1, 1975 TREES ON DRAINS: A full Inspection of all classified drains within the Ellesmere County Council has been carried out. A considerable number of obstructions have been caused by fallen trees across drains, and these will block the free flow of drainage water. Council workmen have cleared such branches or fallen trees, as is necessary to clear such blockages, but all owners and occupiers of land in these classified areas should check the drains throughout their properties. All trees across drains must be removed as soon as possible. TREES ACROSS RIVERS AND STREAMS:

Property owners are advised that where trees have fallen from private property across rivers and streams, it is the responsibility of property owners to remove such trees. Council forces have removed such trees that have obstructed the flow of water, but any further work should be the responsibility of the owners. TREES ON ROADS: Property owners are advised that where trees have fallen from private propertyon to road reserve it is the responsibility of propertyowners to remove such trees from road reserve.
