No moratorium on redundancy

I (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 19. The Minister of Labour (Mr Faulkner) does not favour a moratorium on redundancy claims by unions until a severance and re-employ-ment bill is passed by Parliament. He was questioned in Parliament today on his attitude toward this question. Mr J. B. Gordon (Nat., Clutha) asked whether Mr Faulkner would consider urgently such a moratorium, to forestall redundancy claims and stoppages until legislation was passed.
