Man found unconscious
A man was found lying unconscious across a gutter in Cashel Street shortly before 8.30 last evening. He is Keith Raymond Donaldson, aged 44, who was taken to hospital with a fractured skull. It was at first thought that he had been thrown or had fallen from a vehicle, and the police interviewed the occupants of two cars. But there was no evidence to show that this was the case, a police spokesman said. The police had also discounted the possibility of assault for the time being, he said. The spokesman said he was still unconscious when he was taken to hospital, and the police were unable to gain any information from him. His condition late last evening was described at fair.
