Candidate in hospital

(IV.Z. Press Association) I HASTINGS, August 21. Mr Robert Fenton. National Party candidate for; Hastings is a patient in the intensive-care unit at the Hastings Memorial Hospital. He was admitted on Tuesday, and his condition today was reported by the hospital to be “satisfactory.” Rumours were rife in Hastings today that Mr Fenton had suffered a heart attack,! but this has been denied by Mrs Fenton.

Mrs Fenton, who is a parttime nursing sister at the hospital, said Mr Fenton had complained of chest pains and had a high temperature. Checks had shown that the chest pains were muscular, and caused by influenza.
