The Malvern and Elies-i mere County Councils have, 'resumed their informal talks* on the possibility of an) [amalgamation. A brief report to a meeting of the Malvern council ! yesterday recorded a discussion between the two councils, and the chairman (Mr C. O. Redfern) said that it had been agreed that now was the time to consider reorganisation. The meeting agreed that Mr Redfern, and Ellesmere’s chairman (Mr W. E. Walker), and the two county clerks, Mr B. W. Perrin (Malvern) and Mr G. R. Singleton (Ellesmere) should prepare a report on the! effect of local government! reorganisation of the two! counties. Mr Redfern said that he had discussed the position with a member of the Local Government Commission.
