New look for Dean

There will be a new format for the “Dean on Saturday” show tonight. The studio audience has been dispensed with, and instead of one main theme there will be a mixture of film clips and studio action. The items tonight will include a demonstration by the Irish snooker champion, “Hurricane” Higgins, a discussion on J. A. Lee’s latest book and a look at the controversial film, “Lenny.”

This format will become standard for Dean shows, while “Edwards on Saturday” will continue unchanged. Television One believes that by making “Dean on Saturday” more “middlebrow” the two programmes will complement each other better.
