Mr Muldoon wants information

(N.Z. Press Association/ WELLINGTON, August 8. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Muldoon) said today that the Opposition was anxious to know when the Prime Minister (Mr Rowling) would release details of a document handed to him at Auckland Airport on July 15. Mr Rowling was handed a confidential paper by an Auckland businessman, Mr Paul Freeman, and as a result, a Security Intelligence Service officer was suspended, and a police inquiry into the incident was held. “This matter must have been discussed at this week’s Cabinet meeting, and Ministers have had ample opportunity to review the situation, and the contents of the document. “This is a matter of immediate public interest, and having instituted an inquiry, the Prime Minister should follow through on his public commitment to release the details of the document,” Mr Muldoon said.
