LOCATIONS: The plant is situated approximately five miles from Greymouth on the Main South Road. THE PLANT: Consists of one 33.0001 b per hour John Thompson water tube boiler on which most of the operations are automatic. There is also the usual auxiliary equipment associated with a boiler of this size. The boiler is fired, for the most part on wood waste from the manufacturing process and on coa] when wood waste is not available. QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of second class stationary certificate is required to operate this plant. SHIFTS: A rotating shift roster is worked and overtime is also worked to suit the running of the factory. Most statutory holidays are observed and annual holidays are taken over the Christmas period.
