Changes at Brown Bros
Mr J. P. Goffin has been appointed general manager of Brown Brothers Engineers, Ltd, Christchurch. Mr Goffin, a registered electrical engineer with experience in engineering sales and administration, joins the present management team of Messrs A. M. Sheppard, manager pumps division; A. A. Scott, manager, Briggs and Stratton division; A. T. Roberts, works manager; and Miss M. Millward, company secretary.
Miss C. J. McGregor, who has been chairman of directors of the company since May, 1970, will retire from the senior executive position in the company, but continues as chairman. Brown Bros is a longestablished engineering sales, manufacturing, and service company,- with a factory in Christchurch making a wide range of pumps, and offices in Christchurch and Auckland.
The company is also master agent in New Zealand for Briggs and Stratton engines, and holds several other agencies for pumps and allied equipment. In recent years, the company’s expanding marketing activity has included export sales of manufactured pumps to Australia and South-East Asia.
