Winds were gusting at 100 ; miles an hour when the jWellington fishing boat Quest capsized near Cape Palliser ion Friday, the only survivor .of a crew of three, Donald | King, said today. Mr King arrived in Westport this morning after being rescued by the Milbum Carrier at 6.22 p.m. on Friday. I He had been in and out of the (water for six hours. The master of the bulk cement carrier, which was returning to Westport from} Gisborne, Captain N. Reeves,] -aid Mr King last saw his I mates about four hours earl -] •er, when the raft they were in was swamped for the fourth time. The Milbum Carrier found Mr King just on dusk, when he fired flares. The wind was gusting to 60 knots at the time.
