Road to be reopened

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 4. The main Dunedin-Queens-town highway, which has been blocked for three weeks by a slip at the Nevis Bluff, 22 miles from Queenstown, will be reopened on Monday. Mr T. C. H. Mouat, the resident engineer of the Ministry of Works at Alexandra, said today that enough of the 30,000 cubic yards of rock and rubble in the slip would have been removed by Monday to allow traffic through. However, there might be delays of up to 20 minutes.
