Responsibilities include the teaching of degree and. diploma (sub-degree> courses within the genera! area of environmental studies. A new option recently introduced within the department requires staff with competence in one of more of i the following fields: 1. Park and Recreation resource administration and planning. 2. Landscape Architecture/ Environmental Planning. 3. Ornamental Horticulture (Landscape Management/ Landscape contracting). The appointee should have a degree in one of the abovementioned fields, with some post-degree experience in commercial firms or public agencies. While appointments are normally permanent, consideration would be given to a shorter term. e.g. two years.
