ST BEDE’S WINS
The St Bede’s College first XV won its annual Rugby match against St Kevin’s College In Oamaru by 12-10, after leading 8-6 at half-time. It was a keenly-contested game?, played in ideal conditions. Fortunes ebbed and flowed, but St Bede’s had greater finish to its movements. Tries for St Bede’s were scored by Geoffrey Smith, Tony Wright, and Peter Mailer.
