Chinese capitalists
Sir, — While views as fallacious as those advanced by C. G. Marshall as the social, economic and political relations prevailing in the socialist countries, appear in “The Press,” he may rest assured that they will be attacked, not because “they find the slightest fault with the Communist camp,” but because they bear no resem-
<b lance to it, and he really I should bring himself up-to-I date on China’s current relations with the Communist camp. I do not attack “any correspondent,” I am interested only in their ideas. I have no interest who the , writers are, whether they ; sign their names or use a ' pseudonym. The practice of anonymity is so widespread ’ I make no apologies for fol- ’ lowing it. In submitting letters for publication, one ex- ; pects them to be attacked, if ; they are, one defends them ' to the best of one’s ability, ; one doesn’t complain. If you ’ can’t stand the pace, don’t ■ run the race. — Yours, etc., ; M.C.H.
