Double for Jipcho

Ben Jipcho (Kenya) won the mile and two-mile races in the Internationa] Track Association meeting on Saturday. United Press Internationa] reported. The 32-year-old Jipcho did Bmin 34.8 sec in the two miles over a soggy track, and did the final 440 yards in 57.95ec to win the mile in 3min 57.9 sec.

Jipcho had trailed the 1972 Olympic 880 yd gold medalist, Dave Wottle (United States), by three yards coming into the final turn of the mile, but moved up on the outside and passed him 50 yards from rhe tape.
