Bishop’s wife to go, too

(N.Z Press Assn—Copyright) WINDHOEK (Namibia). June 18

The wife of Bishop Richard Wood, the Anglican leader in Namibia, has been served an order to leave the territory by next Monday, the same time as her husband.

Bishop Wood was served a similar order on Monday. Mrs Kathy Wood, the 24-year-old mother of a two-year-old daughter, Rachel, is the daughter of a United States Army officer. South African security policemen today mounted a huge search of the Anglican Church offices in Windhoek and the bishop’s house. At the same time, in the Ovambo homeland in the northern area of Namibia, policemen held Mr Reuben Hauwanga, publicity secretary of the South-West Africa People’s Organisation.
