His team mate. Kevin Hamilton, ran a fine anchor leg of Limin 29sec to clinch Technical s •econd placing. Both broke the course record. These two were well supported by Stewart Hill and Alan Oxennam in the middle lap. There was a marked improvement in the over-all standard. J. D. MacDonald. J. K. Macdonald, and R. Stevens, all of Olympic, all broke the veterans course record. The relays attracted a record entry of 140 teams. This was more than 50 per cent up on last y ear. The New Brighton club again dominated the women’s events. The course was partly soft, sandy, forest running, but the footing was dry and the flat sections were fast.
