Theft from netballers

The South Island netball tournament at Rangiora during the week-end was marred for two South Canterbury girls.

The girls had nearly $lOO stolen on Saturday from their bus, which they were using as a base near the courts

The girls’ purses were taken, one containing $5O and the other $46. Some items were later found strewn through a macrocarpa hedge bordering the park.

Hie Rangiora police are investigating.
