Beech mill offer
The Christchurch branch of the Beech Forest Action Committee has joined the group’s national secretary i Miss G. Davis) and Mr P. Blanchfield, the member of' Parliament for the West Coast, in offering support for a narticle-board mill on the West Coast. Mr Blanchfield recently suggested that a particleboard mill be established in the region, and offered to invest a month’s salary in shareholding to help found the industry. A few days later Miss Davis offered similar support
The chairman of rhe Christchurch branch of the committee (Mr C. Potton) said on Saturday that he would do the same on behalf of his group.
