Fugitive outlawed
A judge in Clemmons, North Carolina, declared, Morrey Joe Campbell an outlaw today as more than 100 policemen pressed a hunt for the man or men involved in the slaying of two sheriff’s deputies. The order authorises any citizen to kill Campbell “without accusation or imneachment of any crime” if Campbell does not heed an order to surrender. — Clemmons, North Carolina. June 1.
