Kumara track to close

• (“The Press’’ Special Service) GREYMOUTH. After 90 years of operation the Kumara Racing Club's track will come to a close after its next annual meeting in January. 1976. Advice to tins effect was received by the club yesterday from the Racing Authority. The president of the club. Mr W. H. G. Stewart, who attended his first meeting in the early part of the century and who has held his present office for many years, would make no official comment on the position until a committee meeting had been held “Racing at Kumara has given a • lot of people a lot of pleasure I and I am sure that the meeting will be missed by evervone who i follows racing on the West Coast." said Mr Stewart.
