I THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY LECTURESHIP IN MODERN GREEK COURSES in Modern Greek were introduced in the University in 1974. following the appointment of a Lecturer. A second Lecturer is required from September. 1975, to assist in the further development of Mediaeval and Modern Greek studies at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates should possess appropriate academic qualifications in Modern Greek language and, literature: for the present position ability to teach the literature of the 19th or 20th centuries would be an advantage. Classes are conducted in both Greek and English, and complete fluency in both is essential The appointee will be responsible to the Head of the Department of Greek, pending the appointment of a Professor of Modern Greek.
