Commission on abortion
Any Government move to appoint a majority of women to the Royal Commission on abortion, sterilisation, and contraception would have the full support of the Abortion Law Reform Association, said its branch secretary in Christchurch (Diane Roberts) ; yesterday. “The association also endorses any proposal for the i deferment of Dr G. A. Wail’s (Hospitals Amendment Bill until after the commission has completed its sittings,” she said. “To do otherwise would be to put the commission in the invidious position of passing judgment on newly enacted legislation.”
